February 28, 2008 at 3:16 am Hindsight is wonderful unless you’re walking behind someone overweightSo my new friend Sally, who has rapidly moved up from friend-of-a-friend into drop-round-anytime friend, called in last night and read through the last two posts. I’ve started to trust her because she’s sharing my experience with phentermine, but she’s a lot more thoughtful than I am. I’m an Aries which means I just tend to do or say things as they come to me and not think about them too much. She’s more head-over-heart which I suppose makes her a Libra. Must ask her about her birthday. |

February 19, 2008 at 4:18 am What do my teeth have to do with this?My new friend and I (that’s the old friend-of-a-friend who’s been upgraded — a bit like these new game machines, she’s gone from 1.0 prototype to 3.0 mature-in-the-market best seller in record time) were chatting on the phone last night. She was laughing because I’d written, “. . .at my time of time.” Did that mean we were, “Women of a certain age”? |

February 5, 2008 at 8:02 am Accused!Well, here I sit in front of my screen accused of misleading all you good people. Naturally, all my family and friends have been reading these pieces and they all give me feedback. They’re all supposed to say encouraging things, but one friend-of-a-friend (someone I barely know) has asked a pointed question or two. |

January 30, 2008 at 10:25 am Back in the Stone Age when times were goodSo there we are, huddling round the dining table with our portions looking larger because they’re on small plates. We’ve also started to look out for sugar in our diet. And our will is strengthening because, so far, we haven’t really challenged ourselves. We’ve started to take our phentermine, Acomplia or Meridia. We’re slowly reducing our sugar intake. It’s the first plateau. Plateau? I hear you mutter. As you climb a hill, there’s steady effort to move your weight up the incline. But, once the routine is established, you fall into the rhythm and it grows easier. Well, it actually becomes so easy after a while that it’s like you’re walking on the flat again. And your body goes into a steady state, neither gaining nor losing weight. There was that initial slight loss when you started, but then your weight stabilized at the slightly lower level. |

January 29, 2008 at 8:30 am The “Cut down on sugar” RuleSo picture the scene if you can. We’re now all sitting round the dining table — we’re old-fashioned and prefer to sit down at a table and talk to each other while we’re eating. None of these TV dinners where you balance a tray on your knees and chase peas round the plate with a fork. We’ve all got our smaller plates so we can keep a better informed eye on how much we’re eating and wondering what to do next. So, I’m holding forth, telling you what to do. |

January 28, 2008 at 8:00 am Switch to smaller platesWell, hi there, gang! I hope you’re all eating less and shedding those pounds — if you’re like me and combining Phentermine, Acomplia or Meridia with healthy diets and exercise, it should all be working out nicely. |

January 25, 2008 at 2:52 am Your eyes are as big as your stomachWe should be celebrating. We’ve got the first two rules of weight loss under our belt instead of extra food. Those simple rules as you’ll remember are eating smaller portions and cutting down on sugar. |
